Infection Control Society Pakistan (ICSP) is a not for profit, non-political, professional organization registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI, 1860 (Registration #: 2822 of 1994).
ICSP was formed in 1992 and was officially registered in October 1994. For the last fourteen years ICSP has been at the forefront of sensitizing public, creating health awareness, providing training and conducting and supporting research on various aspects of public health importance, social mobilization and empowerment.
ICSP has a strong network of health care professionals, Social scientists, financial advisors, opinion leaders and international experts. It has conducted and supported various activities targeted for prevention of diseases and control of infections with special reference to HIV/AIDS, STIs, Hepatitis, vaccine preventable diseases and hospital acquired infections. In recent years it has expanded its scope of activities to include delivery of services for the prevention and Treatment of HIV/AIDS, STIs, Hepatitis, primary health care, social mobilization, empowerment of marginalized population, promotion of health education, etc.,
ICSP enjoys strong national and international linkages. The society is a member of International Federation of Infection Control (IFIC), International Society for Infectious Diseases and Global Health Council. It is a member of Sindh NGOs Network of HIV/AIDS (Pakistan National AIDS Consortium).
